E-Kraig of The Great White North has been a leader to preserve, promote and strengthen Indigenous art and history.
Kraig has been researching and collecting various pieces of Indigenous art and collectibles for the past 50 years.
The handcrafted goods not only embrace the spirit of our indigenous heritage but also play a crucial role in its preservation. From traditional beadwork to custom woodworking, each piece tells a story of the Indigenous past.
As one of the custodians, Kraig wants to ensure that the history of the Indigenous community is preserved and that the talents and arts are secured for the next generation.
As we reflect on the rich indigenous heritage of the Barrie and the Great White North of Ontario, it becomes clear that preserving this history is not just about remembering the past, but also about enriching our future. The local artists, and historical displays all serve as a testament to the culture and traditions that have shaped these areas. By continuing to celebrate and honour these traditions, we ensure that the unique spirit and character of the Barrie and Northern Ontario will remain intact but also thrive
The many wood carvings, leather and beaded items were all created by the hands of the Indigenous people.
